What’s the offer? Citi Hilton HHonors Visa with a 50k point offer.
If you’re looking to top off your Hilton HHonors account, then now may be a good time to apply for the Citi Hilton HHonors Visa. The current signup offer is 50,000 HHonor points after only spending $1,000 within the first 4 months.
Hilton points may not be worth that much (most bloggers value them at about .005 – .007 cents) but you can almost be guaranteed that you’ll find a Hilton properly wherever you travel to. That’s why I chose Hilton over SPG when deciding which hotel credit cards to apply for.
What’s good about this card?
- No annual fee
- Earn 3 HHonor points per $1 spent at supermarkets, drugstores, and gas stations.
- Citi is very friendly to manufactured spending. I’ve done about $60k this year among various Citi cards. So the possibility to earn lots of HHonors points is there.
What’s bad about this card?
- Hilton points are not worth as much as SPG points.
- This card does not come with Hilton Gold status like the Citi Hilton Reserve card does.
Currently, Citi is only showing a 40k offer on their website. The application link below will provide you with 50k points if approved. If you’re not instantly approved, be sure to call Citi’s reconsideration line at 1-800-695-5171.
If you have an upcoming trip and you already have a HHonors account, I think this is great card to earn some points if you can spare the hard pull on your credit. As a general rule of thumb, Citi doesn’t like to see more than 6 hard pulls in the last 6 months. As always, YMMV.
