UPDATE: As of today, April 3, 2014, all my local CVS locations have switched over to cash only šŸ™ I’ve now switched over to buying gift cards with pin so I can load he money directly to my BlueBird account.

There’s no short of Vanilla Reload cards up here in Minnesota! As the FlyerTalk forms continue to light up with reports that users are no longer able to buy Vanilla Reloads with their favorite credit cards at CVS, the cashiers at my locations have not seen or heard of the memo. Now don’t get me wrong, I know the “cash only” virus will eventually hit here, but I’m hoping I can at least get a couple more months so I can continue to wrack up the double miles on my Capital One Venture card.

I stopped at CVS today and on Sunday and was able to buy $2,000 worth each day. 8,000 miles in 2 days, not too shabby! I’m sitting at about 43,000 miles with Capital One. I’m hoping to earn at least 60,000 – 70,000 miles before I’m not able to buy anymore Vanilla Reload cards. I’d like to use my miles for 2 nights in London when I visit Europe this summer.

Let’s hopeĀ Minnesota stays untouched for a little longer!!
